I cherish quiet moments, watching movies and old sitcoms. I currently live in Atlanta, GA, supporting families experiencing infertility. A first-time author, grew up on the west side of Indianapolis in the late '50s. She enjoyed a stable family life with no earth-shattering events, yet as she matured, she encountered situations that led to less-than-ideal choices. These choices took her down a challenging path, but now, at 67, she is on a mission to correct the wrongs that have hindered her growth. Through her stories, readers will see how she has reflected on her life, come to terms with her experiences, and embraced forgiveness—for herself and others. She now lives in a place of peace and shares her wisdom and experience. Nina is dedicated to continuous growth and being a lifelong learner.
After a 41-year career as an elementary educator, Shirley Benge retired. Even though she retired, she still volunteers three hours a week helping students improve their reading comprehension. She has traveled to Isreal and was baptized in the Sea of Galilee. She is by nature very pragmatic but is learning to broaden her horizons and live life a little more on the edge. She has a desire to continue to learn by traveling to each continent, state and national park. Trying new recipes, dragon boat racing, reading and understanding the Bible through an Eastern lens and learning to set boundaries are also endeavors she hopes to accomplish.
In addition to being a teacher, Shirley is a wife, sister, aunt, friend and breast cancer survivor. Thanks to an amazing group of women, called Intentional Publication, who have encouraged and inspired her to co-author with them, a book called International Destinations: “A
Guide to Living and Aging Well”. These women are the reason Shirley has been motivated to love justice, have grace and mercy on her fellow man, and to walk humbly with the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Shirley is from Richmond, Indiana and now resides in Indianapolis, Indiana with her husband of 21-years.
No, O people, the Lord has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with God.
